Compared to most countries, Italy is small but you need time to really cover and experience all it has to offer. Moving around is easy. The transportation system is one of the best in the world. The food is great (they invented pasta and pizza), accommodation are everywhere and catered to all tastes and budget, the people are friendly and relaxed. Some of the signs proclaim, "Keep calm, you're in Italy". Italians love their language so much that in order to have a richer conversations, you need to learn some Italian phrases to get around.
