After more than 2 years of travel hiatus because of the pandemic (when we thought it was safe to fly again), we decided to visit LittleMonkey in Maryland since he moved there from DC. LittleMonkey picked us up at the Ronald Reagan airport. We stayed at his new house in suburb of Maryland that is close to DC where he still worked.
We went around the neighborhood which was one of the old settlements when the first immigrants come over to the US from Europe.
The Appalachian Trails fascinates me after reading that people walked this trail for months as it connects and traverses the States of Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, West Virginia, Virginia, Tennessee, North Carolina and Georgia.
Jefferson Rock
I'm a history fan and we love hiking so we checked out Harper's Ferry where a portion of the trails goes through.
Fort Brown
The town of Harper's Ferry is located at the confluence of West Virginia, Virginia and Maryland, where the Shenandoah River meets the Potomac River in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Blue Ridge Mountains
We spent a day at Harper Ferry and on the Appalachian Trail before we head back to LittleMonkey's place in Maryland.
